EAST JEFFERSON PROFESSIONAL FIREFIGHTERS

East Jefferson Professional Firefighters Local 2032 is the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) union representing career firefighters and personnel of East Jefferson Fire-Rescue (EJFR) in Jefferson County, Washington (serving areas including Port Townsend and surrounding communities).

The local has represented the bargaining unit for the department since 1971, advocating for firefighters' rights, wages, working conditions, and benefits through collective bargaining. It currently has 34 members and is affiliated with the Washington State Council of Fire Fighters (WSCFF).

The union supports community initiatives via its Benevolent Fund and scholarship fund that align with the broader history of professional firefighting in the region, which traces back to volunteer efforts in the 1870s before evolving into the modern consolidated EJFR through mergers (e.g., 2006 consolidation of Port Townsend, Fire District No. 1, and Port ludlow in 2023 ). Local 2032 focuses on professional standards, safety, and community service in  Jefferson County. we pride ourselves on progressive training and strategies to provide the highest quality service to EASt jefferson fire rescue and the people  of jefferson county and beyond.
